11310/11 should be selected in the M9 Manual Lens Setting Menu for any 35/2 
prior to the fourth version. This is as far as Leica chose to go back with 
coding. 
 
My 35/2 is from 1983 and is another of the lenses I would not sell. It 
produces remarkable images with the M9 on the above setting.
