Can a Summaron stand up to a Summacron? What do you do if your wife
confiscates your M-Classics bag? What's the difference between "lead" vs
"look" room? How much SHOULD you pay for a vented lens hood? What's the
serious crit of todays Friday's flower shots?
All that and more are being discussed right now in the Leica Chat room.

Started sometime in the Year 2000, the LUG has had a consistent real-time
chat room up and running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. People pop in to
post photos, ask for advice on photoshop, developing, camera bags, or to
share videos or stories.

How do you get to the Leica chat toom?

1) Get an IRC client. The Leica chat room runs over IRC (Internet Relay
Chat) there are a zillion IRC clients, Colloquy for the Macintosh and MIRC
for Windows are both very popular. Colloquy also has an iPhone client so you
can chat while in line at the grocery store.

2) Connect to the server lugirc.availabledark.com port 6667 (this is the
default port, you probably won't need to enter it)

3) Join the channel (or room, depending on how your IRC client phrases it)
called "#leica" (without quotes).

4) Start chatting.

You can email me if you're stumped, but it's not difficult.

Hope to see you there.

Kyle
