I could sift out dozens of 35 Summilux asph (not floating element)
shots I've rejected because of the out of focus rendition.  The new
version is better corrected and may be worse but I mainly tested it
for focus shift when I had it.  If you're photographing for yourself
and you care, this may be an issue, but it's unlikely a client will
ever notice.  There is always the C-V 35/1.2 which has much better oof
rendition and also negligible focus shift, but lower contrast.  That
may suit some.
