Going organic certainly helps in some respects.  Unfortunately organic
growers can only be so picky about where their water comes from.  In
my lab we detect residues in groundwater at various sites around the
world all the time.  Going organic unfortunately increases the risk of
certain biotoxins from fungi, which are particularly prevalent in
parts of the Indian subcontinent.  Everything has ups and downs.
