Interesting.   I hear that same thought from some people in this country,

Here in the U.S. South, it is inescapable.  Flags of all ilk fly, as well as
banners.

Common lately is the "don't tread on me, favored by tea party peeps."

For a couple years I've been clicking "flag included" shots, I call American
Landscapes.
Not every picture of a flag gets in. I don't know exactly what is the line I
draw, but I know right away when it is a candidate.
