Jayanand:

I think the two go together.  One establishes a mood, the other shows sharp 
reaction to a careless gesture.

What on earth was the mother thinking when she purposely kicked a pebble at 
the troupe of monkeys?  Yawns?

Bet that's the last time she does that - or perhaps everyone present at the 
time as well.

Whatever.  I really like the exposure, color and presence of both shots.
