I knew Tim and Chris, although not well.  They were both great guys,
quite different.  It's an awful waste of talent, but there is a real
contradiction - these guys seek out situations where this kind of
outcome is almost inevitable but if they don't, we, the public, don't
get proper information about the situation.  Of course in an ideal
world there wouldn't be conflict, but we don't live in a peaceful
golden age.
