You heard of the term "DLL Hell" from a few years back? It's when Windows or
other software put in different versions of DLL library files and even
though in theory they suppose to work together, often they don't. DLL Hell
is when you have versions of DLL from different sources and some programs
will not work.

"Side-by-side" is Microsoft brilliant way of solving this problem - by
introducing worse problems!

I'm afraid that there is little chance of recovery besides total system
reload, but may be some other luggers know a solution. Good luck.
