certainly an improvement Kenneth.
Do you use LR or PS?
If so
you may wish to consider also playing with the "Vibrance" slider.
generally:
when I desaturate a color to reclaim detail
I'll also
increase the vibrance to reclaim some of the lost "vibrance"
or
If you're working in the HSL module
decrease a specific color's saturation
and
increase it's hue
