Sitting here at kitchen table crunching my granola and blueberries, reading this morning's LA Times and there's the headline, complete with a photo of the adaptor and a Canon long lens about to be bayonetted onto the iPhone. Some offshore outfit named Photojo (dot com, of course). Immediately made me think of the R8/9 Leica kit i sold and how much fun it would be to crank on, say, the 28-90 ASPH or the 70-180 APO and fire away. Makes me chuckle when friends would get killer tele shot and read, at bottom of email, "Sent from my 1Phone 4..." with no mention of the actual lens used in the shot. Teenie Weenie PhoneCam, Ginormous Herking Superbo lens. Man Bites Dog. The Lens That Ate Rhode Island. Boggles the mind. Ah luv...be sure to hold your new rig by the lens, dear...oops! Peeled the screen away from the lovely stainless frame there, huh? $250 bucks US? You know they're gonna sell some. Gotta tell ya, after 3,000 plus shots, mostly for my landscape business, many times I wished for a WA and a Tele. too much of a wimp to carry the 5D kit around i my pickup.
