We were just sitting down to dinner last night after sitting on the deck and
enjoying a glass of wine when we got the whale call.
It was getting dark but we had guests who don't get to see whales every day
so we went anyway.

Here is Richard - the local whale expert, in his usual spot, wielding his
Canon.

A tail and two fins:

and six at once, Moms and calves:

All taken with the GH2 and this time with the 45 - 200 zoom (I lent the
other camera with the 100 - 300
zoom to the house guest). All at f8.0 ISO 3200 varying shutter speeds.

Please look large and enjoy

C&C always welcome

Howard (in Hummer and Orca land)
