yes, but he was just trying to share wuth us how he got this spectacular 
shot.
the portrait crop is a given when printing.

and the portrait crop can serve admirably in intimidating people!
just imagine giving this to people and saying "this is my attorney!!"
"resistance is futile!"

Difficult for me to understand why the figure on the right is in the frame;
as she seems a total distraction from an otherwise very powerful
candid portrait.
