We this shot certainly works as far as I go!  Sure I've been talking a lot
about how nice it is to not do the selective focus bit but it does work its
share of the time when used carefully. Something to be said for what you see
in the groundglass being what you get later.
When I see the soft buds on in the focus zone I'm not responding by thinking
"get I wash I can see those to and clearly" I'm admiring how the soft ones
set the sharp ones up. That doesn't happen with any kind of bud.
