Subject: [Leica] Leica 40mm CL lens

My favorite Leica lens I used the most often is my 50 Summicron C but I
thought I recall looking up Erwin's take on it and he was less than crazy
about it. Also a comparisons to the 50 Summicron is not so great as that's a
way old design which as been overtaken by so many others. And that was my
first lens and it sure convinced me Leica was a good way to fly. Later on
with some modern cutting edge Aspherics like the 90 or 35 Summicrons and I
was super sold. Still am. And still think Leica's "Kodachrome" is
"Summicron". Only the latter is still with us.
