That canoeist/mountain shot is going in the "My best" set. It was just a matter of exposing a bit "to the right" and walking up and down the beach and waiting for the canoeist to get to the right spot. Image stabilization helped, too. It was hand-held, and the lens was at 150mm, which is 300mm equivalent.
