Same with my son in DC...... Jaded.

I think he got the rest of the day off...........  He wouldn't have  in
California......

My daughter, who grew up in California, just text and said people are
"freaking out" in the Philly area because of it - she is of course unfazed.
No one seems to be hurt for now. 5.9 is pretty big though. She said it's
just shakes and not a rolling one...
