They have eyed my parrots, but that would have some major blowback
potential. My Amazon wanted her back scratched the other day, but when I
picked her up she took out a hunk that just about needed stitches. PMS
probably.

Long-time cat owner here, and I had an especially evil one. Spiteful,
vengeful, mean. Here's my advice: Lock your bedroom door at night. They'll
come for you when you're not looking, and night attacks are a favorite
tactic. Years ago, my cat (he lived at my parents house) got mad at my
mother for feeding the dog a pice of meat. That night, he peed and pooped
all over TWO brand new pairs of shoes she had just bought that day. She paid
$100 a pair for them, and they're the only things he messed with! She
discovered them in the morning.

He would also target the dog if someone made him mad, even if the dog had
nothing to do with what angered him. The poor thing literally shook with
fear every time the cat walked past her.

My grandpa's cat was even worse. When he got a dog, she jumped on top of the
dog's cage one night, reached through the bars, and clawed his face up. She
had been nice to him when he was out of the cage during the day, but waited
till he was locked up to strike. She used to poop in the dog's food bowl a
couple times a week too.

So, if you have other pets, watch for reprisals against them from this cat.
