dear mark,
i am so happy you think they are good.
apologies for the tardy reply.
i have but one camera, a 5-year old D-LUX 3.
most of my photos are taken with it.
on occasion i use the iPhone, on sunny days.

when i first got the D-LUX 3 i shot mostly in 16:9
but for the past 2 years for some reason i've been composing and cropping
most of the shots into a square.
it's probably because i like the pictures taken by my friend gary gumanow
so much.
he shoots with an M6 but the square ones are from his Rolleiflex or SWC.

i've never been into instagram or hipstamatic
as i don't like the iPhone camera much.
when talking about the iPhone most people talk about the lens or the sensor,
but when actually trying to get a shot neither of those is that important.
the user interface stinks for street photography.
by the time the phone is ready the shot is long gone.
:-)
