As far as I'm concerned Live View has a place "on a tripod" and other
related supports.
Sooner or later an EVF will come along which actually does a "fine" job of
it.
Leica may be the company that pulls it off (I'm not holding my breath).

While it certainly isn't "up to" the M system to give life to R glass.
I have enjoyed Leica providing the:
M to R adapter
R to M adapter
Viso to R adapter
for decades.

And with the addition of "live view"
it all becomes all the more enjoyable.

Is "live view" worth giving up the fine detail found on the CCD sensors?
I can only hope so.

I see nothing undignified about mounting an M10 to a tripod;
mounting my 100 mm Apo Macro Elmarit to the M10
and working in the studio to achieve astounding image files.

Then taking it off the tripod and attaching my 50 mm Summilux Asph
and working on the street to achieve astounding image files.

Then putting it back on the tripod and shooting the moon
with my apo 2X + 180 Apo Elmarit.

I could and would go back and forth all day (and night) like this.
