Viet Nam. Anyone who dropped out of college was drafted immediately, and 
most of my circle dropped out of college and were killed there. It was 
amazing that we were so less aware of the death rate there. The San Diego 
newspaper has weekly lists of locals who died in Viet Nam, and most were 
hospital corpsmen (sp?) who were unarmed and trying to pull the wounded back.
