With the OM, I found the 18 of little value except for interiors, while the 21 was always with me and frequently on the camera. With the Nikkor, being a zoom made things a little different, with the 17 end more useful on construction sites, but the ability to widen just a bit at the longer ranges saved shoe leather. Were I in a position to spend the money on the Zeiss lenses (and I love the ones I have and the ones I had) I would get the 21 without reservation. I also have the 14-24 Nikkor and am extremely pleased with it. It will not accept filters directly, of course. If size and weight are important, I would go with just one prime CZ WA lens. If an 18 is needed then it is irrelevant if the 21 is better.
