Seems like a quick fix to just to make the R users happy, but does not look 
very sturdy to me.

Jury's still out on the viewfinder responsiveness and focussing accuracy at 
smaller apertures.  I'm also not excited about a viewfinder that can fall 
off the camera, and I suspect the small throat of the M mount will cause 
some vignetting with lenses that have a long exit pupil distance, like the 
560mm f/6.8 Telyt.
