Subject: [Leica] Cameras Real Pros Use

There were people eon the lug who "traded" in their M for a New AF Contax
and who thought Leica's days were numbered as they did not have AF and had a
cloth shudder. And spoke of the Leica company with great derision on a
regular basis on the LUG.
They are gone too. The people that is. As in off the lug not dead.
Leica M has a proud manual focus tradition which I'm proud to be involved
in.
Contax cameras were advertized on the first page of the Viewfinder magazine.
The magazine of the Leica historical society of America which I loved being
involved with for a decade.
The idea was that it was not heresy we were glad we were not alone.
That the rangefinder not SLR concept has validity so that at least one other
company than Leica would invest in it.
Though there was some discussion as to if the Contax really had a
rangefinder or not.
But the CV's did as well as the CZ's.
