Subject: [Leica] IMG: Autofocus Nightmare

While seeking an inhouse diversion on a very cold day, I set up a gray
aircraft model in front of a black background, wanting to get a very low key
image. I tried two different AF lenses on my E-510 and neither could lock
on and hold focus on the subject. Perhaps it was the low light environment,
but they kept changing focus, seeking something they liked. I grabbed a few
shots that were roughly in focus, as well as a lot that were out of focus.

Here is the image:

Olympus E-510 with ZD 14-54 Ver I, Flash, 1/60 at f/8, RAW

Have others experienced this sort of behavior?

Comments and critiques welcomed.
