Discussing the merits
or lack thereof
of black and white
or color?

Is like
discussing the merits
of blue vs. red vs. black vs. orange

or graphite drawings vs. prismacolor pencil drawings
or that bronze sculpture over there
is better than
that stained glass window over here

it's up to the artist, photographer, sculptor, potter
to chose their media, tonality, palette, lines, strokes, forms, subjects,
shapes, et al

Each single work
each body of work
stands on its own merits
or
fails on its own deficiencies
