One thing that always surprisd me with super high speed film were the

Especially when if you used it you needed it.  This:

EI 6400 and a couple in my Africa gallery were shot in light so dim that my
M7 couldn't determine an exposure.

Back in the film days, if you wanted a photo in that sort of ight, how else
were you going to get a usable image?

 I think this one:

have been at 12800-I had a fair idea that Joe Strummer might throw his
guitar, and it was quite dim, so I figured the fastest shutter speed I
could muster was a good plan.
