I have both programs and much prefer Nik, especially in these images.
Actually, the Nik plug-in looks like it might be useful with a single
exposure with a little learning curve.   I continue to hold out hope this
might be a useful technique.

Those who are allergic to HDR, don't look!  I downloaded the free Nik
software which includes their HDR program and compared it with the one I
have been using - PhotoMatix.

These are made in the little town of Carmona, Spain, near Seville:

Of course, there are thousands of ways you can adjust each one but I prefer
something natural looking so that ruled out quite a bit.
