This photo has been stuck in my mind ever since I first saw it in LIFE
as a kid, which my father used to subscribe to. Eisenstadt, after all.

That LIFE stable of greats probably influenced me like nothing else,
seeing all that great photography every month - Capa, Burrows,
Bourke-White, Eisenstadt, Halsman, Newman, Parks, Morse and, above
all, Gene Smith and many, many others. Nowadays, of course, newspapers
and magazines are busy getting rid of their photographers..
