I have not been on many holidays since I travelled all the time for work if 
I got a bit of spare time I stayed at home...
Of the places I have been on holiday I enjoyed Iceland the most. We rented a 
Toyota Landcruiser and drove round the island. It was August and there was 
very little traffic (we drove along Route 1 for over an hour without seeing 
another car). It was not too cold (I hate hot so 15 to 20C was great for me).
The landscape was magical and varied. I understand J R R Tolkien used 
Iceland to imagine the landscape of The Lord of the Rings, so we saw Hobbit 
houses and Mordor...
