I checked the EXIF info... it was an A7r....

The A7 has an electronic first shutter and should be smooth.  The concern is
with the 36mp A7R, which does not has that electronic first shutter and may
be getting a bit of shake from the fact that it first has to close the
shutter, then re-open and shut again.  Some say it's about 1/3 the shake of
an SLR mirror slapping. If the model you tried was the 7AR, then that would
be good and surprising news.
