I have the same problem with Capture One 7 Pro, my iMac 24? from 2008 can 
not support more memory than 4 GB! I?ve divided the pictures by dates doing 
small folders. I?ve talk with Apple and the only way  buy a new one, 
Mavericks  charge a lot too. I know that Apple will issue new releases next 
Summer, at least I will wait to see what is appearing.
