Subject: [Leica] Question about releases for images of others' property

This is wrong or at least misleading. "Preparing other works based on the 
original" can of course mean different things, but certainly artists are 
allowed to use copyrighted material as an element in further works of art, 
as long as it is just an element. When cases end up in court, each case gets 
decided on its own merit, but again, you ARE allowed to use copyrighted or 
trademarked elements in works of art--think of Warhol, for example, or a 
more modern example, a Dutch artist who used a designer bag in a painting of 
starving African children, was sued by Gucci or LVHM (can't remember which 
one) and won, based on this type of argument.

Other parts of this text are equally unclear or misleading. They should have 
hired a writer or at least an editor to do the job properly.
