Subject: [Leica] Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary

A few of us had gone to the Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary yesterday,
which is a shallow lagoon and the second largest brackish eco-system
in India, lying just under a couple of hours drive north of Chennai..
We had gone to see the flocks of Greater Flamingos that winter here.
We hired a boat from one of the villages that dot the lake, and set
off. Though we saw all that we had come to see - rich bird life
including the flamingos, the weather was quite heavily overcast, and
the light uniformly grey and dull. I just got a couple of photographs
that I liked:
