Hell we have far more mercy toward animals and critters! But we humans???????? Why we'll work almost forever attempting to keep Mom or Dad alive. And many do that without any thought what the patient is going through mentally? Even though they may never speak a word again ! THE TRUTH IS? Get over it! They're dying! Let them go mercifully and quickly! They are never going to walk out of the hospital and be... "NORMAL WHATEVER YOU MAY THINK AND WISH!" No I'm not being mean and unlovable toward "dying humans?" If they are, let them have as much comfort as they pass away. But for heaven sake don't keep them alive just for the sake they're lying there some how breathing with the assistance of machinery when they mentally have no idea what day or who you are! Live the memories of past and appreciate the times you had. But when a "human is going?" Just let them go as quickly, quietly and painlessly as possible.
