Subject: [Leica] One afternoon in Miami

It's like this. My family and I were spending a week on Marco Is., Florida,
last week, and our son wanted to take his girlfriend to see South Beach at
Miami, straight across the Everglades. I thought that a city as big and
wealthy as Miami should surely have a Leica store, which I learned it does,
and thus an opportunity for me to fondle a new M. So I emailed the contact
person and learned that they had both black and chrome bodies in stock, as
well as the new 35mm 'lux.

So last Thursday we took Alligator Alley over to Miami, and while my wife
and the kids strolled South Beach, I crossed town to Coral Gables and the
Leica store, where a very helpful Mr Peter Dooling indulged my fantasies.
That's all they were, you know. I swear. Just the desire to have hands on a
silver M240 with a 35 'lux mounted. No firm intention to buy, just
curiosity. Innocent curiosity. Didn't mean to get in over my head, but I was
suddenly very aware of the weight of that credit card in my back pocket, and
I found myself in the grip of forces beyond my control...

Well, a crowd like you lot don't need to be told the rest. I didn't actually
walk out of there with the goods in hand, because by having the store ship
them to me in Ohio I could save $847 (!) in sales tax, so here I am waiting
for UPS and Wednesday. Only problem: I had told SWMBO that I'd finance the
purchase (if I actually intended to buy, which *ha ha* I didn't, not at all,
just look) by selling off some older bodies and lenses, which she approved
of and I fully intend to do. But of course she meant FIRST...

Now, what do I do Wednesday?
