Subject: [Leica] Gene Smith's complete "Spanish Village" essay

An extraordinary and powerful set of photos. I was in NW Spain about 15
years later (still under Franco) and it still hadn't changed much. It seemed
about 50-100 years behind the rest of western Europe, much like parts of
eastern Europe like rural Czechoslovakia at the time.

I feel extremely fortunate in the circumstances of my life.
