Tina,

I'd get there ASAP, for a few reasons:
1. The vintage cars (really, shells of cars, which have been modified for
decades in order to keep functioning), which will likely disappear the
second that modern models hit the island in quantity.
2. The glorious 19th century architecture, which will likely succumb to
replacement as investment capital becomes available.
3. Natural areas, which similarly will succumb to development.

Looking forward to your pictures!
Jim

PESO:

Has anybody been or planning to go? Suggestions for the best route?
Photo tour? Looks like we still can't go independently.

Tina
