Hi Peter,
My wife has found that one of the large balls instead of a mouse works very
well; she uses her thumb to move the cursor around.  You are also on to
something with the tablets or on of the newer touch screen computers, my
wife can play endless hours of movement sensitive games on her tablet
waiting for me to finish some to her boring task.
