While my dad died aged 84 from cancer, and was forced to stop driving as he
became weaker, my mother who is 91 in two months, is still flying around in
her car, winning bridge competitions, and as pugnacious as ever. However,
life's unfair and arbitary randomness ensures my wife who is only 60 can
only drive on good days, as the fatigue from her ongoing cancer treatment
precludes her from risking that sort of thing on the bad days.
