Subject: [Leica] Cuba?

I have looked into it and saw two choices.  One was leaving from another 
country, e.g. Canada or Mexico, and being without consular help, no 
thanks on that one.  The other was one of the "cultural exchange" tours 
where, as I gather, you pretend to look at stuff in a museum for an hour 
then go off and eat, drink and photograph without being able to spend 
dollars - at least $10,000 for the two of us for a week, likely much 
more.  More importantly, from the accounts I have read there are 1,000 
new Toyotas for every vintage car, plus locals in costume posing for 
tips in Old Havana, etc. Maybe there will be a sweet spot where you can 
fly there as a regular tourist and stay in one of the old hotels before 
they vanish.
