For people considering purchasing the 2014 Yearbook:
I am still receiving a few messages off list. It might be useful if I
include these responses here for everyone.

The book is available in print with three different cover options. Those
are soft cover, hardcover with dust jacket and hard cover with imagewrap.
All three are set to use the same paper choice "premium lustre". That paper
adds just USD $13.01 compared to the cheapest paper. It is not the most
expensive option. That 'premium lustre' is the recommended choice for photo
books and I think that is the paper that Jim used for previous editions too.

The only mark up applied over cost is for a donation to the charity Project
H.O.M.E in Philadelphia which was nominated by the previous editor of 8
editions, Jim Shulman.

Almost everyone seems to be content with that. I don't want to change the
available paper options nor publish a whole second edition just to provide
different paper options.

The book is available for the first time as an eBook too. If you buy that
one it is downloadable to any Apple device that uses iBooks. If you have
more than one it is downloadable to all of them from the single purchase.
If you replace your iPad in the future you can download it again to the new
one.

Blurb does not currently offer an option to publish the eBook for Android
devices. That is obviously not within my control.

It is possible to make available for sale a PDF version of the book,
viewable on nearly anything. However I promised from the outset that I
would not publish the book like that. That was owing to concerns expressed
to me regarding unauthorised copies of the images (or whole book) being
made. Remember that the images belong to the photographers, not to me. I am
not going to change that decision for the 2014 edition.

The list may like to discuss that for a future edition or any other
changes. That is up to everyone.

I'm happy to be part of that discussion for whatever that is worth but I
won't be offering to edit any future editions.
I won't be changing current arrangements for the 2014.

I have no control nor access to any earlier editions. Those were all done
by Jim for us and he has already said on list that he does not want to make
them available as eBooks. Jim's approach was to provide printed photos,
since everything shared on list is only on-line of course.

I have also deleted all copies of the images sent to me, including from my
mail servers to respect your copyright (and get my space back!). They still
exist in the bookfile of course and on Blurb's servers.

Cheers
