Hi Ken,
I think there is a bit of confusion here?

My comment about lens hood was in relation to my Noctilux when LEICA SERVICE
wanted something near $300. to replace one of the small lock pins into the
lens to hold the shade on. Seemed an absolute ridiculous price! So I
said..... "SCREW IT " and the Nocti f1.0 hasn't had a lens shade on it for
at least 40 years and I've never lost a frame from not having a lens shade,
nor damage of any kind.

So that left me with a few extra dollars for a very fine bottle of
single-malt SCOTCH! :-) See, it's all about KISS & COMMON SENSE!!! :-) :-)

CHEERS,
Dr. TED :-)

Ted:
Is that a LENS HOOD I see on your camera? I recall your telling me you
never used them because they were just something easy to use.

Regards... Ken Lassiter
