After 40 years of using Leicas, with brief excursions into Canon and Fuji,
I can say that I will buy whatever Leica comes out with and not regret it.
I used to send my M6s in for CLA after every major trip. It's just a part
of regular maintenance for film cameras. I have regretted every Leica
camera and every Leica lens that I have ever sold. I gave away the Canons
and Fujis and had no regrets. Leica is the best mechanically. They are
getting there with digital but it's been a steep learning curve. I'm still
happy with my 2 M8s, M9, M240 and Monochrome. I still prefer the
Kodachromes from 40 years ago that I'm still scanning but digital is close
and so much more convenient. At least they are replacing the affected
sensors at no charge. And I can still use my 40 year old lenses on my
newest digital cameras with no adapters.
