There was another update (15.2.1) yesterday, other than the unpleasant 
import interface what else has obviously been changed/removed?

Have you tried Import?  It is totally changed and dumbed-down for those who
don't care to learn how to use the software.  Many features, all of which I
use on a daily basis, have been removed because they were deemed "too
confusing" for new users.  I would hope LR was designed for professional
users and not point-and-shoot enthusiasts who want the easiest possible way
to upload their photos.

My whole system is based on the old LR.  If they don't fix it soon, I will
be abandoning Adobe.
