I've told my Leica guy that I'm having second thoughts after reading this
review:
http://leicarumors.com/2015/10/20/the-leica-sl-typ-601-camera-review-leica-gambles-big.aspx/

If I bought an SL and then Leica came out with an actual M with autofocus,
I would be very, very upset. A new M is rumored. I'm going to Iran in
April and was hoping for an autofocus camera before then. Chances are slim
and none, I guess.
