Or S Light, a lot of the physical design is similar to the S series as well
as it being the only non-S camera which can take those lenses...

When Leica lovers read the word "SL" they think Leicaflex SL which is THE
classic Leica reflex camera and Leica reflex camera which actually worked
was compact with a finder second to none and was not a copy of a Minolta
which didn't work.
Using the term "SL" now for a digital is intended to hark back to that.
