Leica is obviously catering to the RICH AND FAMOUS market segment as one of
their focuses. Need has no relevance. Status does.

The owner of Leica recently had a video out that focused on a speech he made
entitled something like Luxury Products. Not features you need or f-stop
DOF.

Frank, it's not a matter of the money; it's buying the camera you need.

I've had several still camera with video capability, and have only shot
video with any of them accidentally.
