I must say that Roger Bannister was the first to break the magic four minute mile, but you, Ted "Banisters" Grant, captured a moment of political magic in early '69 that, in truth, helped change Canada, and, in its way, changed a perception of politicians across the world in the eyes of the young. I was 17 when it appeared in all the Irish and British papers, and the power of that image dazzled me.
