Thanks, I thought it had been sorted on that model. My 3880 was in 
storage/sea travel for over six months but is working fine...

Clogged heads.  I've tried every trick in the book to no avail.  $1000 to 
replace heads, if that's the only problem.  I've used pretty much all the 
ink trying to get it going so that's another $1000.  Not worth the cost.
