I found the aftermarket one I bought useless, all my batteries are genuine.

Some report good experience with aftermarket Leica batteries, but over the 
years I've had moderate to dreadful luck with them.  I only use the official 
branded ones now.  They hold a charge, last longer, and have better cases on 
them in the event you drop it.
